MAP OF THE GRANDSTANDS

Chicagoland Speedway features one large, curved grandstand that stretches all the way from Turn 4 to Turn 1. The curve follows the shape of the oval, giving fans a smooth, uninterrupted view of the frontstretch and the key action points of the track.

Grandstand Layout

The grandstand is divided into multiple sections from left to right:

  • South Tower (Turn 1) on the far left
  • North Tower (Turn 4) on the far right

Sections are labeled using both letters A to T and numbers 101 to 428, moving from left to right along the grandstand. The Main Tower sits centered above sections 401 to 412. The Start/Finish Line is located directly in front of sections 403 to 407.

Views From Each Area

South Tower / Left Side (Turn 1)

  • Great for watching cars brake and turn into Turn 1.
  • Strong view of the start, since the field moves toward Turn 1 very quickly.
  • Clear line of sight down Pit Road.

Center Sections (401–412, below the Main Tower)

  • The best overall view of the track’s key points.
  • Directly in front of the Start/Finish Line, ideal for restarts and the final laps.
  • Excellent visibility of the entire frontstretch, pit entry, and pit exit.

North Tower / Right Side (Turn 4)

  • Ideal for watching cars come out of Turn 4 at full speed.
  • Good for seeing battles and close calls as drivers fight for grip on the corner exit.
  • Partial view of pit entry and activity behind Pit Road.
